Riverside Park is located at the White river and is on Main Street.
Riverside Park is our most visual park. Everyone that drives through
“town” looks to see what is going on at the park. At Riverside Park you
can fish or swim in the river. There is plenty of room to fly a kite or
have a picnic and cook on one of the many grills that are available.
There are 3 different trail routes that you can take that have a walking
or running distance from ¼ mile to ½ mile. We also have a large
pavilion with lights and a playground with swings.
Carter Park is located just off of Pleasant and Riverwood Streets.
Carter Park is our main baseball facility that includes 3 baseball and 1 one softball field. It
plays host to our high school and county league baseball teams. Carter
Park also has a large pavilion with lights for outdoor events as well as a
nature trail, tennis courts, and a basketball court.
The Frank Wenzel Community Center is located just across from the
post office. The Community Center has a large, outdoor pavilion and
a playground area for the kids. It also plays host to our county league
T-ball teams. The community center is also available for use by local
organizations or any individual that requires a climate controlled
indoor facility to host events in.
Mueller Field is located just southwest of the high school. This field is
surrounded by trees that offer plenty of shade during games. Mueller
Field is our oldest ball field within the parks system. Our high school
and county league softball teams practice at Mueller Field.
Mueller field is also used as a practice facility for our high school
football team.
